Day 1

“Anything That You Can Imagine is Yours to Be or Do or Have.” – Abraham-Hicks

Day 2

“When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds, your mind transcends limitations, your consiousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world.  Dormant forces, faculties, and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a great person by far then you ever dreamed yourself to be” - Patanjali

Day 3

“It is much easier to ride a horse in the direction it’s going.” – Abraham Lincoln

Day 4

“Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them become what they are capable of becoming.” – Goethe

Day 5

“They may forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel.” - Carol Buchner

Day 6

“It is much easier to ride a horse in the direction it’s going.” – Abraham Lincoln

Day 7

Day 11

“If you can tell me who your heroes are, I can tell you how you’re going to turn out in life.” – Warren Buffett

 Day 12

“If you intend to be of assistance, your eye is not upon the trouble but upon the assistance, and that is quite different. When you are looking for a solution, you are feeling positive emotion— but when you are looking at  the problem, you are feeling negative emotion. “ – Abraham

Day 13

“Once children learn how to learn, nothing is going to narrow their mind. The essence of teaching is to make learning contagious, to have one idea spark another.” — Marva Collins

Day 14

“Each and every component that makes up your life experience is drawn to you by the powerful Law of Attraction’s response to the thoughts you think and the story you tell about your life. Your money and financial assets; your body’s state of wellness, clarity, flexibility, size, and shape; your work environment, how you are treated, work satisfaction, and rewards—indeed, the very happiness of your life experience in general—is all happening because of the story that you tell.” – Abraham-Hicks

Day 15

“People have to be responsible for their thoughts, so they have to learn to control them.  It may not be easy, but it can be done.  First of all, if we don’t want to think certain things we don’t say them.  We don’t have to eat everything we see, and we don’t have to say everything we think.  So we begin by watching our words and speaking with good purpose only.” – Rolling Thunder

Day 16

“Start telling a better-feeling story about the things that are important to you. Do not write your story like a factual documentary, weighing all the pros and cons of your experience, but instead tell the uplifting, fanciful, magical story of the wonder of your own life and watch what happens. It will feel like magic as your life begins to transform right before yours eyes, but it is not by magic. It is by the power of the Laws of the Universe and your deliberate alignment with those Laws.” – Abraham-Hicks

Day 17

“The greatest sign of a success for a teacher…is to be able to say, “The children are now working as if I did not exist.” – Maria Montessori

Day 18

“Every truth has four corners: as a teacher I give you one corner, and it is for you to find the other three.” –Confucius

Day 19

“When you focus upon lack in an attitude of complaining, you establish a vibrational point of attraction that then gives you access only to more thoughts of complaint. Your deliberate effort to tell a new story will establish a new pattern of thought, providing you with a new point of attraction from your present, about your past, and into your future. The simple effort of looking for positive aspects will set a new vibrational tone and the Law of Attraction will begin the immediate attraction of thoughts, people, circumstances, and things that are pleasing to you.” – Abraham-Hicks
Excerpted from Money and the Law of Attraction — 3/31/09

Day 20

“Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.” – Frank Outlaw

other side must be your enemy.” - Elias Chacour

Day 23

“And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  ” – Nelson Mandela

Day 24

“Discovering the world can provide human judgment with wonderful enlightenment.  We’re all constrained and gathered up within ourselves, and see no further than the end of our nose.  When asked where he was from, Socrates answered not “from Athens” but “from the World.” – Montaigne

Day 25

"First Nations leaders like Chief Clarence Louie of the Osoyoos Indian Band in British Columbia were among the speakers.

Other presenters included: John Kim Bell, an aboriginal
orchestral conductor and Order of Canada recipient; Kimmie Weeks, a Liberian advocate for peace and social justice; as well as Elaine Bomberry, a successful aboriginal television producer.

The event also featured a showcase from local employers, organizations and educational institutions. This was a smart way to give the hundreds of people who participated the chance to get motivated and then connect with the opportunities that are out there — all under one roof.

We imagine A Day of Inspiration will have a direct impact on many Westman residents’ lives, and we hope the same is true when similar events are held...."
